Failure Analysis
The Complete/Close window may include a Failure Analysis section to enter failure information that may apply to this work order.

Enter the problem identified by the technician in the Problem field.
If this asset has been predefined to be associated with particular problems, you can click the control in the middle left of the dialog to limit the results displayed to Only Problems for asset classification.

Enter the reason for the failure in the Reason field.

Enter the solution identified by the technician in the Solution field.

Click the Failed Work Order check box to indicate that the work order failed.
This indicates that the technician was unable to fix the identified problem.

Indicate whether or not follow up work orders should be created for tasks marked as failed.
If the Create Follow Up Work Orders check box is selected, you can specify whether or not you want a single work order created for all failed tasks, or separate work orders created for each failed task. The default values that displays are determined by Work Order Preferences.
